We had a look at some hints and tips to make your presentations and documents have more impact on your
audience or readers. I hasten to add that these tips are only mine and others may disagree and have other
ideas. That said, there are many tips and tricks you can use to help in the use of the various components of
the many packages on offer.
Office packages offer a range of internal programs and as by their name are suitable for the office or at
home, whether it is creating a presentation for thousands or a nicely presented document for club members,
everyone should have access to one.
The heavyweight packages, such as Microsoft Office come with a heavy price tag and depending on the
version, what you get in it. For example, if you want Microsoft Publisher, it is not available on the cheaper
home or student editions, only appearing on professional versions and above. The other consideration is
whether to subscribe to Microsoft Office 365 and although not owning the software outright, you have ac-
cess to all the updates as they appear as part of your subscription.
