There are of course many ways to show your media – newer smart tv’s have extra built in ram to be able to smoothly
show pictures from a memory stick. You may wish just to hook up a laptop that carries your media. Whatever your pre-
ferred method, Media Streaming/playing has certainly advanced dramatically over the last decade.

Outlook.com, Hotmail.com or Live.com
I recently received an email from our friends at Microsoft which indicated that they were changing the way
some of my email clients connected to my Hotmail account or my Outlook account. It did not give me any
indication which email client was going to be the problem.
I currently use outlook and Samsung mail to receive my emails depending on what device I am using at the
time so I guess I will have to wait and see which one stops working.
The details of what the email said are listed below.

Update your sign-in technology before September 16 , 2024 to maintain email access.
The safety and security of your information is top priority for Microsoft. To help keep your account secure,
Microsoft will no longer support the use of third-party email and calendar apps which ask you to sign in with
only your Microsoft Account username and password. To keep you safe you will need to use a mail or calen-
dar app which supports Microsoft’s modern authentication methods. If you do not act, your third-party email
apps will no longer be able to access your Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live.com email address on September
16th.
Your account will continue working. Microsoft is changing the way you login to it, adding some additional
protections as part of the process. As some email clients do not support the required protocols/methods to ena-
ble such protection, they will stop working after Microsoft implements the changes. If you use an email app
that already supports this, you will not be affected, at most you might have to reauthenticate.
If you app is not supported, you might have to look for alternative. Worst case scenario, you can always use
the browser to open your account. There are some generic instructions that you can follow here: https://
