Perhaps your stack of LPs and CDs are destined for the charity shop or bin. If you talk to younger people, their view is
definitely the way to go. One peculiarity is that vinyl records are making a comeback especially with those audiophiles
who want the richer sounds that a record on a decent system can produce.
TV streaming has really taken off over the last few years and the COVID epidemic saw a huge uptake on subscriptions
for the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime.
One thing to remember, you do need a decent internet download speed to prevent constant buffering of the programme –
if your teenage children are also downloading all from the same internet provider, there could be a bit of an issue. As you
can see, the commercial sector has seen the way to go and the younger generation have definitely bought into it.
But what about those of us who have invested heavily into our own media over the years?
