A photographs composition can be the making and breaking of it.
The rule of odds states that when you're including a group of subjects in your photo, an odd number, rather
than an even number will produce a more interesting, and more visually pleasing composition.
There are numerous tried and tested techniques that professional photographers use to get the photo they re-
quire, but what about the dark arts of imaging software.
Arthur brought along numerous images that he was able to demonstrate how they could be improved by sim-
ple digital manipulation.
The Crop tool in most image processing programs is used to trim off the outside edges of a digital image.
Cropping can be used to make an image smaller (in pixels) and/or to change the aspect ratio (length to width)
of the image.
Too much sky or foreground? Get rid of it to balance up the image and make it more interesting.
