Last Month…
The club had the pleasure of inviting our guest speaker Arthur Payne who is well known to the members as
the guest judge at our annual photographic competition. Arthur is a long-standing member of the Melton
Photographic Society and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in producing award winning photo-
graphs.
With our own upcoming competition, what better topic than how to get the best out of your photos by using
some simple tricks and tips that Arthur uses to enhance his own pictures. Most if not all of the digital tech-
niques will be available in most of the heavyweight graphics packages that are available. Arthur uses Ado-
be Photoshop but a free package such as Gimp will also have similar tools.
