The auto reboot is helpful.
There are various problems that can occur – hardware / software – when they are running for extended periods. Being
able to reboot the system on a daily basis ensures that the chance of failures is lowered. The proprietary system I had,
once ‘failed’ with no reason and no communication that there was an issue, and I discovered it by accident. Support was
little use – they didn’t seem to understand that a security system that hangs and doesn’t restart is not very useful.
Barry’s setup
Three PI’s internal that have cameras physically attached or are linked to a camera.
Each PI sends pictures to cloud storage – my Google Drive – as well as keeping local copies.
