For me, this is where a VPN can be useful. I have a Sky Go + which allows me to access my sky tv account on
devices such as my I Pad or I Phone – which can be useful when you are away from home. Unfortunately, Sky
has regional limitations which prevent viewing in other countries. I just let my Norton’s VPN think I am in the
UK and it all works fine.
Another issue I have using Internet Radio – some foreign stations also have geographic limitations which be
overcome by making it think you are in the country of origin and all is well. Don’t forget to switch back to your
UK setting afterwards as you may well be blocked from your UK accessible stations.
My VPN comes bundled with the Norton 360 antivirus package. There are free versions that tend to make traf-
fic extremely slow. There are many commercial VPN’s also available too.
My advice, get one if you have a specific need.
