Version 78 of this popular email client from Mozilla has recently been released. This is a great free
alternative to Outlook which is part of the Microsoft Office Suite which is pretty expensive. Thun-
derbird can be used with any type of email account including Gmail and those provided by indi-
vidual Internet Service providers (ISP’s).

The latest version includes a new Account Hub window which provides quick access options for
setting up your email calendar and contacts. You can now colour code your email folders and the
Dark Mode now extends across all sections of the program.

This truly amazing heavyweight open source package has been enhanced and offers a number of
new features and tools to enhance the already massive array of features on offer. The Filter selec-
tion has now been enhanced with 4 new filters – Bloom, Focus Blur, Lens Blur and Variable Blur.
The Vignette filter has also been updated which now allows the vignette to be dragged around the
image, giving greater control than the previously used sliders.

Navigating the program is now easier – moving the curser over tool-group menus now expands the
contents, making it easier to locate the tool you want instead of clicking through the menus.

A blending option is now built into every filter’s settings box so that each filters strength and
opacity can be adjusted.
