Photo Competition 2024
Bob has been busy again and has come up with some challenging topics for this years photographic competi-
tion which are listed below.
As was discussed and mentioned in the AGM minutes last year’s competition showed up an anomaly with AI
produced results (albeit declared prior to judging).
Members felt that there ought to be a separate unjudged category for declared AI produced pictures to main-
tain the spirit of the competition.
We have not discussed and finalised how this category will work but when we have finalised the details we
will publish in the newsletter.
1. Weather
2. Fungi
3. People at Work
4. Selfie
5. Architecture
6. Collage
Windows 10 PC is getting a upgrade from Mi-
crosoft
Despite plenty of warnings that Windows 10's life is coming to an end next year, Microsoft doesn't
appear to be forgetting about the millions who still use it. Although it was thought this ageing
operating system wouldn't get any major changes between now and next October's deadline, the
Redmond firm has just announced the release of a big upgrade which will be coming to Windows
10 PCs (as well as Windows 11) soon.
The change is part of the popular Photos app with Microsoft confirming that it's bringing more AI
edit features to this image-boosting software.
