image.
He used it specifically to alter the image to remove backgrounds (a colour or range of colours) and make
them transparent – which is really handy for creating sprites to use in the Scratch programming system.

Not only is it easy to use, it’s free!

This game was developed by someone for family amusement, but was persuaded to put it on the
web. The NYT recently bought it for a large sum!
Currently it is free, no advertising and no login required.
You need to guess a five letter word within 6 attempts.

Quordle - https://www.quordle.com/#/
This is Wordle on steroids.
Four Wordles are presented and you have 9 attempts to guess all four words.
It is easier than it sounds!

Septle - https://septle.com/

Similar to Wordle – but using 7 letter words.
Semantle - https://semantle.com/

This is only to be played by people with a built in thesaurus and who have plenty of time to spare.
The idea is to guess the selected word of the day.
Each word you try is ‘scored’ against the word of the day and the score is listed.

Sometimes words are close to other words simply because of the way they are used together, rather
than they have similar meanings.

Similar to Wordle type games, but here you have to build up an equation using numbers and opera-
tors.
Looks daunting at first, but I think it was Wendy that solved yesterday’s problem in almost no time
at all.
