11. Recruitment & Retention.
Membership has shown a small decline over the year. Members were asked to try and recruit new members
when the opportunity arises.
12. Feedback on the Previous Year’s Programme & Future Topics
The committee were mindful of the topics and membership requirements. However, without members input, it
is difficult to maintain a good and interesting programme. The committee re-iterated their plea for topics – even
repeats of previous presentations.
Graham Rock suggested we look to revisiting 103 The Eye as it has been some years since the last visit. Gra-
ham agreed to look into sorting a time and date.

All Microsoft 365 users will need to activate MFA soon
Microsoft is forcing this move as a way to reduce account security risks and help safeguard user data.
Microsoft has announced that Microsoft 365 users must enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) support by
February 9th, otherwise they will not be able to log in to the service’s admin center.
Implementing MFA in the Microsoft 365 admin center significantly reduces the risk of account compromise,
prevents unauthorized access, and safeguards sensitive data.
Similar rules have already been introduced for both Azure and Entra, and the idea is that all Microsoft services
will eventually require MFA.
