I needed a copy of Office for a customer recently to go on a new PC. The PC supplier was out of stock of Of-
fice, so I searched around and found this site

            https://softmall.co.uk/product/microsoft-office-professional-plus-2024-for-windows-10-11-instant-delivery-
            preview-version

They emailed back within a couple of minutes with the license key and a download link. All installed and
            seems to work perfectly.

It is only valid for a single PC, but includes Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and Notes. It is the
standalone version, not cloud based Office 365.

Microsoft to Stop Support for Office Apps on Windows 10
Microsoft have announced they will no longer support Office apps, known as Microsoft 365 apps, running on
            Windows 10 later this year.

This support cut off coincides with the Windows 10 end of life which is also happening this year. Windows
10 will reach the end of support on 14th October 2025. After this date, Windows 10 will stop receiving any
updates, software patches and critical security fixes.

Microsoft ending support for the Office apps means that if you rely on those Microsoft 365 apps will need to
upgrade to Windows 11 or move to a stand alone version as mentioned above if you want to continue to re-
            ceive updates.

“Microsoft 365 Apps will no longer be supported after October 14, 2025, on Windows 10 devices,” Mi-
crosoft wrote in their recent blog post. “To use Microsoft 365 Applications on your device, you will need to
            upgrade to Windows 11.”

When the end of support for Office apps on Windows 10 happens, it doesn’t mean the apps will suddenly
stop working. However, this does not mean you should not update to Windows 11.

Using the apps on Windows 10 after this date will increase your exposure to security risks.
It is not just Microsoft who are ending support for products on older operating systems

Starting May 22nd, 2024, Windows devices running on the following operating systems are no longer be sup-
            ported by Norton:

                • Windows XP
                • Windows Vista
                • Windows 7 (Service Pack 0)

You can continue using your Norton security product on your device running on the above operating systems,
and you will continue to receive virus definition updates. However, you will not be able to receive software
updates and other security fixes. Your device will eventually become vulnerable to newer security threats that
can’t be addressed by virus definition updates.

Important: You cannot install or activate Norton Protection on these operating systems. If you uninstall the
Norton product, there is no way you can reinstall it.
