So what is it?

In a nutshell, Facebook Portal is a video calling hub with built-in Alexa smart assistant. As Facebook - or as
it's now known, Meta - owns Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, they can all be accessed in various ways
through a Portal device, but to use it, you need to have either a Facebook or WhatsApp account.
