5. Chair’s Report
Barry Gilchrist once again gave us a thought-provoking view of True or False stories that often appear in
the media. Nothing is as you see!!
The presentation appears separately in the newsletter.
6. Secretaries Report
David Robb gave a resumé of the previous year and hoped that the programme had been enjoyable and in-
formative. The year ended with another successful Photo Competition. David thanked everyone who took
part. Next year’s competition topics will be published in the newsletter. David asked that members come
forward with topics for future meetings and expressed a hope that members offer their own presentations.
Articles are also needed for the newsletter. The committee can only do so much. We need member’s input.
7. Treasurer’s Report
Financial statement previously sent to all members.
Current balance is £354.64
Due to increased room hire fees, Derek was felt that subscriptions needed to be raised to cover future ex-
penses. It was recommended that club fees be raised to £20 per annum. This is the first increase for many
years.

9. Newsletter & Club Website
The newsletter had been well received by members
10. Recruitment & Retention.
Members considered how the club may best promote itself to gain new members. Various advertising ideas
were put forward. Barry Gilchrist agreed to put an advert in the Waltham parish newsletter. Other avenues
will be followed up as they present themselves. Membership is key to the club’s survival.
