Minutes of Annual General Meeting 9 February 2022

1. Meeting started at 7.30pm.

3. Chair’s Report
Barry Gilchrist gave a brief presentation on Communication. He gave members a brief insight in Elon Musk’s foray into
the world of low orbit satellites which will be used for low-cost subscription world- wide internet connections. It is
planned for some 10k satellites. You will then be able to access the internet via a small dish in your back garden.

The moral of the presentation is that communication is a two-way system and if it only works in one direction, everyone
loses out.

4. Treasurer’s Report
The club account was now with Melton Building Society
Financial statement previously sent to all members.
Current balance is £379.87

There are no expected overheads other than a possible room rental increase. Therefore, Derek recommended that the
subs remained the same at £15 per full member and £5 for family associate members.

5. Elections
