Last Month…

Happy New Year to all of you. Last month we held our annual photographic Competition and it was very
pleasing to see so many of the members rising to the challenge and entering a very high standard of pictures
yet again.

We were again pleased to welcome along Arthur Payne from Melton Photographic Society to judge the en-
tries and give us that all important positive feedback. Over the years, Arthur has offered plenty of valuable
advice to improve our pictures and judging by the standard of entry, members are using that advice to good
effect.

With limited opportunities due to Covid lockdowns over the last couple of years, we were not sure how
many entries we would get. As usual there were six categories and members could enter up to three pictures
in each. We had almost 60 entries spread across all the categories.

On to the results –

Overall Winner for 2021 was Dave Robb for the Blizzard Scene in the Weather category.

I hope you all enjoyed the competition and the categories supplied by Bob Eagle, who was unable to join us
this year, but hopes to be with us very soon. I have asked him to come up with some more challenging cate-
gories for this year – watch this space. Our best wishes to Bob and wish him a speedy recovery.
